Let’s begin the process of creating a new event and promoting it on the website. Make sure you have the Odoo Events Module installed first, and then look for the icon on the Odoo main dashboard.

Now we can enter the Event Dashboard. On entering we can see the existing events.

When you access the Odoo Event Module, you’ll get a list of all the events that have been generated on this platform previously. According to the progression of the execution, several stages can be generated for an event. On the dashboard, you can see some default statuses, such as New, Booked, and Announced, and you may move your event between them.

Just find what are the events and the date of the events. In this dashboard, we can find that the event date remains expressed on the left-hand side. This also helps the user to identify the name of the event and then a number of participants planning to take part in the event.

The Events module, like any other module, has filters and groups. Depending on your needs, you can use the default and custom parameters for each of them. When you click on any event, you will be sent a thorough description of that event, as you can see in the screenshot below.

The name of the event, the scheduled time, the organizer, the response time, and the company are all listed here. There are numerous other fields, which we will address later when we create the new event section.

Now let’s create a new event. For this we will use a “Create button”.

In the appropriate field, make use of the create form to provide information like the name of the event, the name of the website where the event will be published, details of the organizer, location of the program and date of event. It also enables the user to add details including company, responsible, etc. In the ‘Limit Registration’ option, you can also set a limit on the number of people who can attend the events.

Organize the Tickets : Create different types of tickets here with the help of the Tickets Tab. You can start selling tickets to your event after filling out the details on the new event creation form.

You can utilize many sorts of tickets under the ‘Tickets’ tab. You have complete control over the type and price of each ticket, as well as the amount of tickets available in each category. To make these arrangements, click on the ‘Add a line’ button.

If you want, you can add a product that was created earlier. It is under the tickets tab that the user can set the price of the ticket along with the maximum available seats. It also helps the user to mark the confirmed or unconfirmed seats.

Communication : The second tab you can find here is Communication. It helps the user to start communication with the customer. Communication can be initiated with the help of email or SMS. The user can also choose an email template and SMS template from here.

It is beneficial to add templates based on the mode of communication you choose. You can choose the Unit as immediately, hours, days, weeks, or months, and you can pick how often you want to send mail or SMS to the consumer. Choose between After each registration, Before the event, or After the event as the Trigger.

Notes : The third tab will help the user to give any direction, provide any critical information, clarification to the participants of the event. Suppose the event is a meeting and the participants are to bring some report. The organizer can mention it here.

Now all the steps complete, now you can save this event.

When you save the event you can publish it on the website. Use the go to website option for this.

When you click on the Go to website, you will go to the website page. For reference you can see the screenshot below.

The user can also make use of the web page edit options if you want to make any changes.

Use the ‘Edit’ option if you need to make any changes to any fields or if you want to add something to the event form.
